untitled

Did you see
the darkness of my heart
when you ripped
through my chest,
watching the blood
like slime, stick
inside my veins

When I breath
I am choked by inertia
and I wonder, is this why
you stopped me, through your
jealous fear
of my tranquillity

Holiday snaps

Do you remember
the sunny days?

I see us on the beach
walking to the sea
gentle waves lapping at our
feet
the scream of the birds
circling overhead

We made castles in the sand
filled moats
sailed boats
played, until
later, when I
buried
you.

Chaos ruled okay in the Board Room
As bravely the Chairman walked in.
The members all ignored him –
his voice was lost in the din.

“The meeting today is pointless
and no work will be done.
But help yourself to coffee
and have a current bun”

He picked up an item of business
and threw it in the air –
it floated across the Board Room
and landed next to a chair

And when the meeting was over
with paper all over the floor
silence surrounded the table
as members trooped to the door.

The Chairman surveyed the Board Room
the papers and each section head.
He patted his notes contented:
“What a good meeting” he said.
